Habzoud Hisan

Starts off with a Bangladesh vibe
gets tart
then after repeated sniffing
you get the resin
the tempered fruity floral
the oudiness
the wood
the pollen
and the fixative action of horse poop:Roflmao:

I won’t rave about this oil
but it is sort of a benchmark oil
to represent Hindi oils.

The barn is very tame, hence I described it
as a fixative.:clapping:

Dug out my sample of Xing Liao Ling by Ensar just now

A beautiful Maroke oud oil. I get a very slight Cola vibe (similar to some Malaysians I’ve smelt) along with rubber/leather (think new shoes), earth, wet stone and incense. It reminds me of a jungle in the dead of night.

An exceptional oil from Ensar.

Two Lgends and One Would be Legend Layering:
Oud Yunus by EO
Oud Ceylon Royale by IO
Incenso di Assam 198 by Taj

The last one has dominated the rest of oils. But Ceylon vibes are spectacular in total atmosphere of the fragrance.

My Tolas of economy oils arrived.

The Laos, which I have been swiping already from a sample given to me, is quite satisfying.
No poop or cheese:Roflmao:

The Kelantan is similar to ASO Khulood and EO Oud Yaqoub. Decent strength at first swipe, but starts to get weaker and weaker. I am satisfied with it, and at $155 I don’t expect it to be killer. No barn, nothing dark, and no spice.

oud ertugrul e.o

not too exited about it after my first swipe , zaza zen is leaving a better impression at the moment

No way, really!? Thanks for telling me this. That has been the one oil I've been close to buying now for about 2 months but haven't had the courage to pull the trigger. Did you buy a sample or a whole bottle? From everything I've read, I was expecting Etrugrul to be a better borneo 3000. Is it similar?

If you have the rest of your sample and want to sell it - or if you bought a bottle and feel like selling a gram, please PM me!

Not selling mine, but i still have to swipe a couple of times to make my final judgement. so don't order yet lol

oudbase zenesis.....
perfectly balanced , its almost like the two sides of the fragrance (savory and sweet) are in a slow dance and the fragrance released is the music they generate… linear, meditative, humming, sustained, oscillating... long and slow….... chinese and hindi.... its like an olfactory chant... lasts and lasts...

barn meter on the oud/cheese conversion chart is warm brie on this oil....

Yep that oil is a fully developed oud for sure. Amazing stuff, upsets me that I cannot possess it.

Is the Tigerwood 90 worth trying? I already have TW 95 which is lovely

It’s unmistakably a Tigerwood; so if you like 95 you’ll like it. My only thing is when I do my directly under the nose swipes, there’s one particular note I just don’t like. People’s Ceylon, Czar Ceylon and the Sri Lankan Oud Royale all had it after the fermentation smell wore off, so I thought it was a Sri Lankan thing. I don’t know what to describe it as, maybe just the smell of wood that’s not optimal. A slightly bitter, just unpleasant smell. This one has it, but only when I wear it directly under my nose. On the body it’s great.
