Unreleased Agar Aura Pursat 4K

This oil will sell out before release mark my word. It's by far the best Cambodi I've put my nose to. Clean green yellow opening but the best part is the mid and dry down oh the Kinamic whiffs [emoji7]

That said, if you look at the photos on Facebook (I think) there seems to be several tolas so, who knows? Might see the light of day (i.e., make it to the site).

Wow, DHL is FAST! My first experience of Al Hashimi oils today, I'm now wearing Ibn Zamrak. Fantastic. Last time I smelled an oil like this was a blind sample of EO Borneo Diesel during the blind oud test.

Would be interested to know your thoughts on this? I’ve yet to try any Al Hashimi

[Ouddict.com] Oud of the Day

Today I am wearing a wonderful uplifting Indonesian oud oil from Habzoud called Alsukar 1.

This oil has a lovely sweet and candy like quality with wonderful hues of green. Like other Indonesian oils I’ve tried it has that great characteristic that I can only describe as ethereal. It seems quite otherworldly and like a foreign substance, from another planet almost ....Top quality as usual from Habz MashaAllah. Really pleased to have this in the collection. I've been on a swipe fest since yesterday . . . I've now worn Al Hashimi's Ibn Zamrak, Maliziya, Kakaya, and Kelatan. My first impressions are that these are very friendly and attractive oils, if also somewhat non-threatening. It's notable to me, after having spent the last two weeks immersed in samples of various oils from Al Shareef, that AH's are generally clean and have that sparkling cola resin sweetness without very much in the way of leathery, earthy, dirty, fermented notes. I gather that ASO is thought to represent a more traditional distillation style, and so I wonder if AH is trending more modern, and perhaps western-friendly. These oils are undoubtedly beautiful, but I do notice that I miss some of the depth that comes with the dirty.

The oils themselves:

Kelatan is a sweet, resinous oil with smokey, spicy and minty layers.

Kakaya feels like a cousin to Kelatan, albeit less smokey and spicy, still sweet but warmer in tonality and trending more towards subtle animalic and sour fruit.

Ibn Zamrak is a wonderful Borneo oud that brought me back to to the first time I wore an oil with this petrol-vanilla spice profile, which was back in fall 2018 during the blind oud test. It dries down into an aroma that is unmistakable, losing its sweetness but retaining its sharp, gaseous, spicy radiance.

Maliziya stands apart from the others in it opens without very much in the way of "sweet" notes. Instead I was reminded of ASO's Marjaan, in that it leans towards a very vetivery bitter green. I'll need some more time with oil, as I wore it simultaneous to Ibn Zamrak, and i think it spoke a bit more softly.

*Took a fat swipe of this after reading this - I'm in agreement - never thought of it as vanilla and petrol before but after you say it, I totally get where you are coming from. Curious how you compare this to other borneo's you've tried that share a similar profile. I know you've mentioned borneo diesel before - how is this the same/different?

Great write up! - I'll also add to it:

Seeniya (sp) - is a more subtle, less fruity - more bitter yet calming (maybe slightly sweet but in the way that bread is sweet). What I've sensed in some other chinese oils but without any of the bite - this would be great for someone who wants to explore a more close to the chest oil that is really well rounded but not crazy pungent or sharp. Very smooth.

Have you reviewed Bhamo. I'd like to hear details.
To me AA Bhamo has this deep incense note kinda like spices with fresh green blended subtly. Then the big hitter is that “Kinam note” that keeps popping up time and again. Sure hits the brain hard like many other buzzers out there. People often ask about that mind buzz effect and I don’t think it’s just marketing, it’s just not on the level of what drugs would do which is what most people compare this “mind effect” with. To me it’s more about experiencing a sense of calm or invigorating effect. Depends on the oil and mood for me. Heightened senses basically though. Hope this review helps. Always feel like I’m no good at them haha

Zaza Zen by EO and layered it with Resin Precuix by SP. Dominant notes of ZZ since applied it liberally but every now and then notes of different resin from RP keep popping around. It like a gathering where in ZZ has taken center stage while all the resins are dancing around it trying to impress oud.
