Revisiting Al Hashimi's Kakaya.

Vintage is 2018. Co-distillation of Malaysian, Cambodian.

Application: The tip of toothpick on the wrist
Temperature: 22℃
Humidity: 80%

Opens up with distinctive Cambodian ripe, honeyed fruity characteristic and Malaysian green translucent woodiness. it takes a few minutes for the two terroirs to integrated.

The characteristics of the two terroirs are well showcased in a pristine manner without twisting their properties.

Opens up with wood, dripping honey, florals, camphoric herbs, gum resin, banana peel. the sweetness is exquisite and glittering like shiny particles.

Induces relaxing, comforting feeling.

The projection is fairly decent but not massive. The peak projection lasts around 2 hours. easily detectible without having to bring the wrist close to the nose. but nuances are more observable in close distance(5~10cm)

Longevity, moderate to short. lasted around 6 hours.

Overall, it showcases an exemplary well-made co-distilled oud oil. well-integrated, well-preserved terroir. excellent value for the price. lovely.

EO Bois De Borneo 2013

Oddly enough, I never tried the 2010 version,
and this is the first time I’m trying the 2013.

Smelling it, I feel happy, a genre of years past,
excellent notes through the progression, not loud, but it is very settled, so the aroma is not just a flash in the pan.

I’m glad I won the bid on Ebay, and I recall that the seller bought oud from me years ago.

OudBase Hindi Sultan...
Some no soak green Malaysian ...
I wish he would name his oils haha! The kalakassi I’m talking about was released earlier in the spring I think around February/March. I haven’t had the newest kalakassi though although I hear great things. I want to start naming these oils for myself though.

So far I have

Manipur Classic
Nagaland Classic
Mid grade Nagaland
Red Megalaya
Incense Grade Nagaland
Kalakassi Nagaland

if anything I should record the dates they were released that might be easier for reference against other oils of his?
I have a stash of the march kalakass .... Nice stuff

Halawa by ASO this morning across from Jamaal.

This is like the duality of Malaysian Agarwood. Halawa is bright, creamy and floral. Jamaal is dark, spicy and almost brooding.

Jamaal is still a musk bomb that’s a little *too* musky but I’m willing to stick it out and try to understand this oil.

Halawa was an instant love though. It’s an absolute gem of an oil and if you were to tell me this was a wild oil I would believe you. It hits way above its weight.

Nice! Mine arrives in the mail in the next hour or two, excited to give it a swipe!
Halawa is one of my favorite oils right now for not only the price but sheer enjoyment factor. I love creamy floral oils and this doesn’t disappoint. The cream factor is turned up to 11 which I love. Honestly it’s one of the best plantation oils I’ve smelled and definitely one of the best oils in that price range.

Oud Hindi Seuifi, From a Local Distiller Of ASSAM (INDIA) , Truely Alluring, as I cant stop Smelling my wrist time and Again :Roflmao:, Mismerizing, as it is capturing the attention of People Around. Addictive, Sweet, Hay like Smell and some time it goes Sour and sweet, Tobaccoish . Truely Addicitve. Its 40 degree here and is performing, and Performing, and Performing.....🙂.
I had read somewhere, when you get addicted to Hindi oud, than you are Truely fall in Love with it 💘💘💘 Forever.

I love how Oud can be so many things at once. Jamaal is finally smelling like sweet cherry dipped rosewood drenched in ethereal Kinam blossoms everyone speaks about.

In layman terms I’m getting spicy red wood, musky florals and incense. The heat plays a ridiculously strange role with the profile of this one

Either the heat or my distillation skills 😂😂😂 but I am glad you are experiencing the different facets.
