I didn't like HK. I feel like I'm missing something because everyone else says it's great and I just don't know what people like so much about it.
Hailam Kilam is an excellent example of Chinese Sinensis distilled in such a way to elicit a yellow Kinam note so often found in Chinese Agarwood. I think if you’re a fan of Hainan Agarwood in general Hailam Kilam is an excellent approximation of that regional profile. I think for fans of sinensis and Hainan oils in general find that Hailam Kilam is an excellent example or even a reference point for quality Chinese oils.

I didn’t like it at first because I didn’t understand Hainan oils at all. Once I let get of HK I realized my mistake and regret the gold I was sitting with. Now Hainan oils are some of my absolute favorites and it’s rare to find high quality ones such as HK

Decided to revisit Lindaraja after a few months without wearing it. It continues to impress!

I was wearing the newly released Attar Motia by Ahom Oud yesterday, and surprisingly, that experience helped me to pick up on some surprising white floral and sandalwood notes in Lindaraja today.

That's very possible. This is actually my first sinensis so maybe I'll sit on it and try more sinensis oils and then I'll go back and see if I get more from it.

This isn’t an Oud oil but it is just as good. Today I’m wearing Jinkoh Store’s Sri Lankan Sandalwood oil. It’s like pure incense in a bottle with a little bit of boozey amber and spices thrown in for good measure. I believe this was distilled from sinking grade roots?
I love his work. This is practically a dessert oil of the marzipan sandalwood class. Not my usual sugarfix but appreciated nevertheless

Well I am going to do some research and maybe there's a way to find out where some of these oils ended up. If anyone knows anything that might help please mention it.
So someone I know got the what's so called "Burmese / taif rose blend"
First impressions it's really Regal, have a nice depth and layers, it's with good longevity and loud and gentle, I'll need more wears to tell what's up tbh
Now to clear few things up since I did have chat with few who does sell those and there is kilos in UAE market and most of the bottles comes in sealed with wax bottles if you see anything else it's transfered from main bottle.
Now regarding the name most use "bumese/taif rose" it seem three isn't one Say in this, a whole seller dealer talked to me today and dealt with hundred of kgs of sultans wood and oils said that many who smelled blend had different impressions and saying in that oud in the blend.
Some said Brunei, some Malaysian, some Burmese and some irian, personally I would say it's irian and rose blend but who knows 🤔
Hope that helped

Sampling three oils from Marius today.

Jinkoh Store Royal Tripura
Jinkoh Store Pursat Qi
Jinkoh Store Hainan Essenza

Way too early to describe these but they are all amazing. Also, vastly different profiles so my senses are absolutely assaulted by a very wide spectrum of olfactory profiles and nuances. Can't believe the stuff Marius is constantly putting out. For me, Jinkoh was the best discovery of this year. Insane quality for more than fair value. So grateful to have the opportunity of sampling his work and by doing that, to enjoy his adventure through this realm of olfaction.

I had a half gram of Green Papua that wasn’t really moving me. A few days ago I decided to add it to my bottle of Lindaraja.

Lindaraja now smells like the best Papuan oil I’ve had the pleasure of smelling. 2 grams of Lindaraja to maybe .4 grams of Green Papua creates a stunning profile. It dials down the florals and banana in Lindaraja but brings out the green in GP. The whole thing gets this peppery/spicy tropical vibe with hints of juniper and banana peel. Strong pollen and honey notes showed up too. Excellent combo if anyone wanted to try layering the two.
