Hindi 1 - Agaraura

"Hindi 1 has glorious leather and hay, by the bucketloads. This is a full bodied, rich, classic Hindi. Yes, there are undercurrents of spices, cocoa beans, cream, and the slightest hint of fall fruits, but the spotlight is always on the barnyard elements together with rich, dry woodiness." Taha - agaraura

I dont think have any mango note 🤣, maybe a green guava kind ,sweet molasses
JS Royal Merauke again, no other oils yet today. Guava and molasses captures what I'm smelling even better! The surprise for me is the fresh, tropical tartness or sweet-sour (guava) - but there is a toasty sweetness like molasses (molasses has a beautiful dark sourness which is here too). Lots to learn here.

Habzoud Zamarad 2

This oil is aging wonderfully, with my one bottle stored into 6 vials, I’ll have sveral unopened vials for years to come. But for big-time applicators that swipe 2 to 3 fat swipes per application, maybe a spare bottle or two will do.

I just noticed that there’s a big vein running through this oil and EO’s TW 1995 and HOM Malay Encens that speaks “Malaysian”,
or more accurately “Kelantan”.
With Malay Encens, you get a classic soaked funk featuring heavier compounds, with TW 1995 you get the smoothness of age, plus quite a bit of liquored resin, with Zamarad 2 you get a stripped down new generation oil.

AH Akkad

First thing that came to mind…
AA Kemegahan.

Although Kemegahan is Malaysian
and Akkad is Philippine,
the likeness shows how the distillation style can dominate the profile.

Although the overall style is supposed to be à la Arab, and it has a heavy bodied rustic vibe, I love the part in Akkad when I smell candy,
like a sugar coated orange slice jelly, but add a dilute amount of banana.

That’s quite an endorsement!

Olefaktory Viet K
Olefaktory Ve Dep

Both incredible and showcase the richest cinnamon notes and melon notes I've smelled so far in oils. Of the two, Viet K seems lighter and more refined. Ve Dep seems richer and oudier. Viet K moves from refreshing cinnamon, sawdust and lightly bitter walnut shells to jaw-dropping honeyed melon rind. Ve Dep moves from deeply spicy cinnamon, wood and vanilla to a balanced, surround sound complex of fruit-cream-spice-resin.

EO People’s Sultan

I’m getting Wow’d 😍

This oil bears the “Sultan” in it’s name because it was distilled using the Papua New Guinea agarwood that was used in many of EO’s Sultan distillations.

The PNG component in this oil smells just like the one used in Sultan Afnan, it is dominating the Thai component at the opening. Pretty, blue, with a flowery aspect, nothing like green, forest, mentholic Papuas.

In the middle, the Thai starts to match the performance of the PNG, and smells similar to EO’s Saumanasa.

Out in the open air, the bitterness comes out, revealing the quality of wood used in the distillation.

Ajmal DAO Amiri - what a Hindi. Bold, old school, 20+ years. Barn, leather and sourness typical of India - tamarind/mango, jaggery and molasses sweet drydown. Stays around 7 to 8 hours easily even in 40°C

Of course diametric opposite of latest clean, zero soak gen 3 artisanal oils. More of a user's oil than a collector's.
