Fragrant Harbour Supreme (Imperial Oud)
- Slightly medicinal (bitter) & green, which clearly gives of Vietnamese vibes
- I get nuances of benzoin, styrax, myrrh, labdanum, gurjun/Peru balsam (can't recall exactly atm), bubbling oud resins long after being on a heater at low temperature;
- a touch of cinnamon, anise, some Chinese herbs/spices (that I can't really pinpoint).
- Interestingly for a few minutes I found some similarities with Oud Iparxan (Auphorie, 2022) - especially with the overall balsamic and spicy nuances. The smell of a Chinese medicine shop that has been is still present. But now it's more nuanced and pleasant.
- Occasional appearances of capsicum (has toned down since my last wear) with a honeyed cloud (if that makes sense).
- I also noticed some sweet-sour tropical fruits - Bengal currant, Malay gooseberry, green apple, jamrul, dragon fruit and a few more;
- These last sets of smell remind me of Al Jannah (HabzOud) and a non-soaked custom distilled by a friend commissioned for himself. He bought kgs of large incense pieces from Bangladesh (both wild and cultivated), sent them to India for distillation. A consummate oud nerd. Scent memories are a funny thing!
- I also get golden hay dust on a winter morning.
- I can't associate any floral smell with it but there are certainly some.
- Dry down: Haven't worn it for a very long time. Will see how it turns out.

PS: More details added

I'm wearing Al Jannah today and got a sorta similar vibe to a different Hainan oil, but one that I recalled smelling similar to FHS 🙂
Lovely writeup

Habzoud Pursat Maliki

As I take-in the aroma of the swipe,
the first thing that came to mind
was Dehn Al Oud because there’s a vibe of oil and wood. The oil, like the cleanest sheep skin and milk fat.
The wood, as a wood note with it’s associated resin note. Although there’s fruit, it’s not as fruity as other Cambodis.
I also love the hint of tobacco.
I am reminded of Agar Aura’s first batch of
Khmer Khlem Chan and Ensar Oud’s
Chen Xiang Khmer.

@Hamza H - malay 02

This is from a batch of his premium oils. Lives up to the hype and price tag. Perfectly well rounded, packs a punch, quintessential Malay aroma. Couldn’t be happier with it.
Had to wear it myself tonight, absolute mind blowing oil. Definitely the pinnacle of Malaysian oud for me.
