LEVENT @mesOUD
I haven been waiting for the right moment to swipe this oil when my nose is in best shape because I wanted to give attention to the is oil given the reputation of brother Mehmet @mesOUD . Ok, in one word! This oozes quality! It is a very dense oil, opens with smooth floral profile sitting on resinous leathery woody base. But after that it evolves with so many notes that I cannot decipher what I am smelling because the notes rapidly change. This oul needs a lot of attention to understand and I am not as experienced to decipher it. All I can say is, it is in a class of its own. Highy experienced noses can may be understand it. For me it is a flurry of notes most enjoyable to wear. As I sniff I feel like its an ok oil at one moment and then few seconds later I get oh wow what is this! Kind of feeling that you haven’t been completely convinced so you get invited again to take a whiff and this goes on. Not sure how to describe this sort of experience in one word.

Agar Aura - Green Kyara (Vietnam) : Starts off really cooling like menthol & mint, sweet & creamy vanilla milk comes & accompanies it, a little green & woody, slightly medicinal & bitter. A bit of leather & herbs. All in clean & complex Taha style with typical mindbuzz. Great oil but not fully my type, as I‘m not a fan of vanilla & sweetness in general. The bright, ethereal menthol sides here I do enjoy a lot more. A really nice & pleasing oud
Is thia still available?

Wow thank you bro for this amazing writeup! My Kanbi Koh is on the way 😀 along with fili densho, papua 2003 and silani og. Have you tried papua from TOL?
Hi bro 🙂
You are lucky to purchased Kanbi Koh !
I am looking forward to see your reaction at the very first Swipe ^^

I don’t know the phili Densho , but I know papua 2003 and Silani OG …

The Papuan is really amazing ! Even if this subspecies of aquilaria isn’t so much my taste , it’s very deep and complex oil !! You can smell it’s aged perfectly…
It remind me Some other Royal grade of Merauke oils … 😉

Silani OG is just unbelievable…
It does smell something we could find in Amsterdam ^^
It’s like a Silani oil was mixed with terpenoids ! This is really impressive !
After few hours the terps calming down and it’s your typical clean Sri Lankan oil…
My favorite Silani oil with IO Adhrijaya…

You’ve got some crazy juice coming ^^ 💣🧨👌

Welcome back brother.
I took a break recently myself & it’s always a pleasure returning. We are the best online community far by! Mostly everyone here is respectable, knowledgeable, passionate & friendly. A very inspiring collective.

Kanbi Koh is a masterpiece, it’s surely one of the best oils ever distilled. The reactions it always elicits is rapturous for good reason!
I consider AT good friend, I’ve learnt so much from his sharing of knowledge & experience. A great man!
Thank you dear brother 🙂
It’s good to see other friend who sharing same thoughts 😊
Kanbi Koh is probably a legendary oil without exaggerating…
I’ve never felt something as powerful when I swipe a tiny tiny swipe in my beard … it works much better than wrist swipe !
This sharing is almost a gift from our brother from The Oud Lab !

Oh man Papua 2003 is absolutely stunning. Talk about complexity, it is beauty of the highest order! I’ve never smelt an oil like it previously.
One part of the profile is the dark green, jungle camphor, mossy, incensey character of a high grade Papuan oil, the other part is a deeply resinous, lush fruits, floral, sweet syrupy red incense core of a mind buzzing clean Cambodi / Malaysian. A 10/10 oil that will stop you in your tracks due to its glorious perfumery profile.

Enjoy Kanbi Koh, you’re in for a real treat 😉
I like the way you describe Papua 2003 … it’s very true !
The smell of sweet Mousse de chêne in the rainforest with a maya Temple where fruits was leaved as gifts with incense fumigation down the summer Rain !
Sweeet petrichor with mango peels , wet wood mangrove, grapefruit and citrus zest …

@Al-Hind Oud white kinam oil is what I am enjoying. I get whiffs of marzipan and coumarin; overall a very clean, sweet and confectionery oil. Don't get much of the bitter aspect of kinam but there is a hint. Again very clean and appealing, none of the salivary notes in some of my hainan ck's.

I cherish the smell of marzipan - wonder what other oils have this as a prominent note

it's pretty common in ck oils i have found. I've also smelled it in plantation oils from Koh Chang I think (not sure if I have that straight though).

Also, Olefaktory distilled some Thai and CK oil that had that marzipan/ benzaldehyde top note. I think the @Al-Hind Oud white kinam kind of hit the marzipan nail on the head for me in the sense that it was there but not too strong. I've smelled some young oils where it was so strong that I really didn't feel like I was getting the experience of oud anymore. Like smelling almond extract almost!

Wearing EO’s elusive Sultan Abdul Aziz today.

A rich, ancient forest. Wet stone. Mineralic incense followed by creamy florals and a blue/green hue. This might be one of my favorite PNG’s I’ve put my nose on. There’s a bitter vein of warm, golden resins and even moments that feel like I’m smelling a Kinamic sinensis. Intense cooling vapors numb my nostrils with each breath.

Imperial Maroke from Sulaym

I love Maroke oils the most I think, but at the same time they are the most difficult for me to describe 🤯
What they do is: They force me to calm!

Awesome!

(Slightly more ethereal than SQ one from Sulaym with less smoke but with a more brighter frankincense note. I also
Detect cardamom and cloves)
Cardamom and cloves. I love that. It’s like a note that’s always been there but until someone points it out…Imperial Maroke is not for the faint hearted.

1. Left wrist - HM Sultan Qaboos Burmi 79 Sulaym. Regal. purple incense winds. Sulaym's description is on point.
2. Right wrist - HM Badshah Haflong: Wow. This is an attar in itself.
HM Badshah has to be my favourite Indian oud of all time. I know the Meghalaya (HM Royal Hindi) gets a lot more accolades but for me Badshah has this smoothness and this unique Rum note that brings it all together. Wish I could have seen the calibre of oud that went into the distillation.

I let it sit on my shelf and just take the lid off occasionally to enjoy it. It’s currently my Friday prayer choice of oud. Will be available for general sale in November.
