I have the original green papua. Weird oil... peppery, sour, a little funky / unclean scent. At the time I loved it but in retrospect it’s a mediocre oil.

Zaza Zen by EO and vintage sandal from my grand father collections. It’s a dance between oud and sandal. I get whiffs of creamy Mysore sandalwood and then I get mesmerized with Zaza Zen oudiness with fruity top notes. It’s just been 2 hours and loving it.

Yes. Quite pleasant. Its like Oud Extraordinaire Lite.

People's Sillani. If you like Oud Yaqoub you'll like this one. It's a trat base with some extra notes on top giving it a well rounded sophisticated touch. Pleasant, versatile and a sweet fruity bright yet subtle scent bubble. Same DNA as Oud Yaqoub.

& for those who are wondering. First wear and limited experience with only one hour in - Yes, I like it better than Oud Yaqoub.

& there's nothing to say my opinion won't change after some time.

These are very safe Ouds - they don't offend.

Just swiped House of Misk Malay Green

First sniff.....I said to myself...this is a very familiar profile🙄
So I swiped ASO Marjaan....I’ll be darn😱
They’re so similar, that it’s difficult to tell them apart, at least 90% same profile.

Nice oil centered on wood, not camphorous but there’s a vapor, not top note heavy, and a very tiny bit of Sabah DNA. Any sweetfruityfloralspice is subdued in the background, and is an enjoyable oil.

& 3 hours in People's Sillani turns into a soft sweet Zaza Zen - so this is one that likes to transform between its respective layers. I guess 3 types of Oud bring a good 3 types of dominating notes.

& here I am reporting more on this Oud than the COVID-19 epidemic.

Ok more on this tomorrow but I got my Al hasimi package today! Trying out these 3 oils - kelaton which hits so high above it's class. More on this soon.

Ibn which I love and similar to b3k, Fahad, and some others. I can only imagine this is walla? Such a robust and spicy finish around a vanillic almost ambery cinnamon backdrop. Some powderyness too!

Then seeniya which is like a great bitter tone. Need more time and a bigger dab on this.

All in all I can't believe I waited so long to try AH. With every vendor I try, the more appreciative I am of ouddict in general. I haven't once had a miss - and so much variety every morning when I wake up.

But yeah if you asked me for the price - zaza zen vs kelatan. Both same in price. Zaza zen is a great fruity profile with a lot of bass - not much movement on the top end. Kelatan is far more complex. I think the better bet if I had to choose. Luckily I don't need to with this price range - and both very different and equally enjoyable. I think kelatan you get more complexity and uniqueness that's amazing for 100 bucks. Next time someone tells you oud is all too expensive, send them for this!

Decisions !
Trapped! Quarantine! Already watched everything decent on Netflix and prime.....injuries pissing me off!

Plastic toothpicks be gone! I am about to light the whole house up with a full swipe of something way more expensive than I should be wearing !
......when I actually decide what that is I'll let you know!

What I would do to take the smell of super fragrant kyara (Real fat sticky chunks of Japanese named peices of black oil kyara ) and rub that all over my body! I mean I could........nah!
