Maliziya from Al Hashimi tonight. Barely any green qualities, slightly less vaporous, honeyed, nuttier, more ethereal version of Kilatan.

Revisiting my recent acquisitions from Al Hasihimi: Ibn Zamrak, Kalatan, Kakaya, and Maliziya. Each oil has taken its time to grow and reveal its character to me, but what I've gotten more than anything is a sense of a comon "signature" running through each of the oils. They each fall under the umbrella of "dark, sweet, resinous, spicy." Even Maliziya, which at first I found mostly green and leathery, is in fact a sweet oil, but seems bitter when worn alongside an oil like Ibn Zamrak or Kilatan.

Performance-wise, Ibn Zamrak is the standout of the bunch, with a powerful aura that lasted a good deal longer than the others. As for the profile, I came to like Kakaya best, because it was the only oil that had a subtle sour fruit note along with the cola resin sweetness, rounding it out in a way that pleases me.

EO - Surrinaka Senkoh 2017

This is the best Walla Patta oil I own. It's like doing a low temp heating session with old Walla Patta(which nowadays is very difficult to source)

Oceanic opening, with subtle play of spices(cinnamon and cardamon mostly) there are the usual fruits seen in Walla patta like guava etc... this opening last like forever ... and when it goes to mid ... u miss this opening and u want to Swipe again... this is one of those addictive oils ...

Love it [emoji7]

I harassed Brother Farid to let me tell you about it

I ended up getting the green light so here we are

Gyrinops1

Classy and dignified...Mysterious

Like being in a temple in the belly of a luscious jungle

Very close to Indonesian Oud chips on heat
Not too subtle nor smokey perfect heavy hitter

Pretty good for meditation purpose and on top of that it's a very classy scent

for those who know Gyrinops0
G0 Mike Tyson VS G1 Muhammad Ali

Congrats @F4R1d0uX

I would love to hear a bit more in this one. My only experience with Walla Patta so far is silani from oudbase. If you’ve smelled silani how would you compare the two?

Sorry bro not yet tried Silani ....
Few other Walla Patta I've experienced

Habzoud Fahad
IO Willa Pattu
IO Royale Ceylon 2
EO Oud Royale SL

Why SS stands out from these "to me" is because of the top notes, very rarely I get any oil close to heating Walla Patta. But if u like Taha's oils and that first whiff just takes to somewhere else. I get that with Surrinaka Senkoh.

The others are good oils and have their own positive experience. Some have better scent progression than SS specially Ceylone Royale, Fahad and Oud Royale.

Dilmun by Al Hashimi. It's a smoky one from the get-go but very refined like an aged, peated Islay malt scotch whiskey. It seems like a more "traditional" distillation of Malay and Pinoy woods. I believe the soak contributes to the more Hindi like qualities, but it definitely possesses a lightly green muskiness from the pinoy wood and a cola nut sweetness from the Malay parentage. An excellent grounding oil.
