Since it’s been raining and cold all week I swiped on some Habzoud Al-Maliki which is from Maluku Island, Indonesia.

From the time I first smelled this to now I’m impressed with this oil. Seriously impressed. This could basically be called Cinnamon Island because the opening is intensely minty with fiery raw cinnamon bark. So so good.

If I interpret uplifting to mean fizzy and euphoric, I'd say the following:

Zamarad 2 = The most fizzy and nose tickling of the lot, with some nice incensey vibes too
Halawa = More metallic, green, and spicy. A more meditative scent.
Lindaraja = A total oddity, lots of banana, with a shade of turpentine and a great pollen/beeswax finish

I deeply enjoy oud, but am not entirely sold on the notion that it's a mood enhancer from a phytochemical point of view - I'm tempted to say the deep and circular breathing I do while sniffing oud has a greater physiological and psychological impact than the scent itself. But, that's just me.

No one really hit your question directly.
Hard to say about oils but woods burning ( simmering on a sub burner ) I have noticed that some excellent quality sinking grade leaves me in a more productive focused feeling ( I'm a programmer) writing code from home (Remote Job) so if its gaming or studying or even working I have noticed that burning QUALITY Oud causes me to focus better )
I wish I could say the same about a great Oudh Oil but that is becoming an expensive search.
But it is the goal ! Unfortunately still searching

OudBase Hindi Sultan.

this is the cleanest, straightest smelling Hindi oud oil I have.
no twist, no auxiliary notes. it's like a chicken soup made without any spices added to it if that makes any sense. 😂

Hindi Sultan opens up with a slightly woody, assorted florals, refreshing cardamom scent.
about 5mins after, the dripping honey scent crawls in and leads the rest of the progression.

it may feel linear and lack complexity. I can't care less about that in this oil because it smells just fantastic.

We are on the same quest. I began my journey, with Maison Anthony Marmin Attars and was fascinated at the complexity of Oud Mukhallats. (Hind, Oud Assam, Sheikh Al Faransi, Islamabad are excellent) Since, Most of Mellifluence Attars look drool worthy, it’s going to be hard to pick just a few. I’m hoping to find some Ensar Oud or other Oud Oils that are more on the Uplifting side. Any suggestions?

AA Malay Atique - antique NY upstate pine home after a few summer storms, sour, balsamic, nose-tickling and ponderous as if, through it all, a small forest critter has taken shelter somewhere in the walls; recalls a liqueur that Santa Maria Novella makes, Elisir di Edimburgo, musky with a strong herbal kick they say comes from yellow gentian.

Yuzhi Oud YZ07 (Hainan Hydrostill) - I bought a sample set from Jeff a while back, and have been slowly working my way through it. So far, his cultivated kynam incense is the star of the show for me, but this oil is a close second. Really tannic tea and white flowers yield to a great tangerine / freshly peeled orange zest that is relatively potent and seems to last forever. Not the most complex, but it works out to be about $30-$40 for the gram that I purchased - I love what he's doing to make oud super affordable.

A while back, Luca Turin mentioned that he'd been chatting with Russian Adam about the potential for more bottles of Chinese Oud, after posting a glowing review. Adam had mentioned he'd found a sustainable source of Chinese Agarwood that could make this possible. I could see YZ07 fitting effortlessly in Chinese Oud, I wonder if Yuzhi was the source Adam was talking about.
