Returning to OleFaktory's Very Berry Thai Cherry after some time. The very very bright cherry opening has faded a little bit, but I'm pleased to find it has a dark/black cherry note emerging over what I'd describe as a creamy leather! Excited to see where this oil goes as it ages even more.

I am assuming oils like this (organic plantation wood, small lot, passion-driven productions) will be fantastic / legendary in their old age

Habzoud Pursat Maliki. This was immediately one of my favourite oils and it continues to wow me. This has a really nice sillage, I sometimes layer it with Taif rose, musk and sandalwood for special occasions.

I got 2 bottles so am tempted to mix some with taif rose but I have no idea what ratio I should be looking at. Does anyone know how to approach this?

One tip. Go slow . Lol. Rose can be overpowering. Good luck

Salaams Brother Habzoud I hope your well? I was recommended by some brothers towards your brand.

Some 7 years back I received some sample from a company called imperial oud and really appreciated the sample. I was a student back then, so I avoided expensive purchases as I was new to oud and more so the company was new. However years later now the smell has changed but they are no where to be seen.

Round about the same time I had the opportunity to meet Ensar oud, I thought I would be encountering a saint. I went with the intention of seeing his Oud yusuf. I found the scent to be heavenly, but on the other hand was shocked by his behavior. He came across arrogant and belittling, I found it peculiar that a person walking the so called the Sufi path had a code of conduct contrary to the Sufi attitude, that the brand represented. There was no humility in his sense of speech nor was there any empathy.

All I saw was a shrewd capitalist and for this very reason I was reluctant to buy even a sample.

So I reach out to you hoping that you have something similar to oud Yusuf.

Thank you

Attar store - encens prachin
EO - jing shen lu

These two seemed similar in my head but when I wore them back to back there were definite differences. JSL was darker with stronger tea notes. Encens Prachin was sweeter with more fruit. Both nice oils though.
Great to hear, it’s lovely to see my oils pop up in varying corners of the globe. It’s definitely a steal, only 1.5 bottles left atm.
