Aroha Kyaku tonight. Mixed feelings… Reminds me of the days when everybody used to burn coal in stoves during the winter time, and got fumigated by the chimney smoke involuntarily. It definitely evoked an emotion that I forgot years ago.

Have been absent from the world of oud for a while and started with a good swipe of Sinharaja Ateeq as a comeback. This oil is one of my favorites, especially for the price. Since my nose isn't accustomed to oud, I cant give u a breakdown. Still wish you all well!

Ok, I had the same issue with my Areej attar. I made a new o-ring gasket for the top and I seemed to have solved it.

Oil was climbing the glass rod and then allowed to bypass the stock o ring and leak down the thread.

Habzoud Oud Caliph. After an initial shock for my untrained nose, I’m not picking up the initial ‘animal’ scent. It’s a very interesting oil now. It’s a difficult one to describe as the scents in the oil seem to change? There’s leathery wood and something soothing (but a little bit too interesting to fully relax)
Habzoud told me oils have to relax after travel, and I think this might have been the cause of the ‘animal’ scent? (I was wayyyy too impatient when this oil arrived)

I got this sample from SamiterkiW and I'm not sure exactly what the sticker reads. It is a very balanced oud, it has some fruity sweetness, some medicinal bitterness, some camphoraceousness and plenty of incense spice.
